denise kim p13/05/2025 Great hotel in the heart of the Vegueta We had a great stay at the Veintiuno for 4 nights in a second story room with a street facing window. It was in the perfect location in the historic center, Vegueta. The room was a good size with original floors and wooden rafters. We liked that there were shutter doors that acted as black-out curtains and sound dampening. The bed and the pillows were incredibly comfortable. The modern bathroom, with its shower and soaking tub, was a real treat. The rooftop had a magnificent view of the Las Palmas Cathedral and was magical at night. There were loungers, a pool and an honor bar where you could purchase beer, mixed drinks and a glass or bottle of wine. The breakfast every morning in the rooftop dining room was exceptional. You chose from a list of options and the meal was cooked to order. We can’t say enough about the staff. They were professional and helpful, especially with setting us up with parking and giving us dining recommendations. The Veintiuno was by far the best hotel of our multi-city vacation. We highly recommend this boutique hotel! Ho adorato tutto Bob L09/05/2025 Exemplary in every regard Fabulous location, albeit difficult for some taxi drivers to know how to get within 2 blocks. (Not a problem). Huge room; perfect room amenities and layout; great staff! Beautiful madd to order breakfast included; rooftop pool and self serve bar. Value amazing! Really love this place . SashaRutski UK06/05/2025 Nice hotel with a few issues… The hotel was pretty and well decorated, the rooms small & simple. In hindsight we should have paid more for rooms with external windows as it was near impossible to dry swimming costumes etc…The best part of our stay were the freshly cooked breakfasts on the rooftop, although lattes and cappuccinos would have been a very welcome addition. I would say that the hotel is suitable for a 1 or 2 night stay, not a week’s holiday. The rooms didn’t have wardrobes just a tiny rail so unpacking wasn’t possible. Housekeeping was really good & usually took place while we were at breakfast. The rooftop pool was extremely small & very cold and only had 4 loungers by it, with 4 loungers on a separate terrace, however the hotel had 21 rooms so the maths didn’t equate! We enjoy spending our sunny days on loungers so we would go to breakfast & then head straight to the pool with our towels in hand but this was frowned upon by the other guests and the management & we were told that this isn’t that kind of hotel & that we were monopolising the best 4 sun-beds. Also, our friend kept getting splinters from the wooden deck around the pool. We loved Las Palmas & the location of the hotel in the old town was perfect, however next time we would stay in a hotel more suitable for a week’s holiday but in a similar location near Triana as the shops were fabulous. Jac Abertawe24/03/2025 An amazing Las Palmas delight There's not much we can add to all the positives from the previous reviews. OK, the room could have done with a bit more storage space, especially for a week and as we had a lovel exterior facing room (booked directly with the hotel), we can't comment about the interior rooms. The location is ideal - San Telmo or Teatro bus stations are both well within walking distance to go to other places in Gran Canaria (we visited the south on one occasion and were so glad we chose to stay in Las Palmas rather than one of the resorts). The weather was great when we were there and having the rooftop facilities helped us to take advantage of the February sun. The hotel arranged airport transfers for us (40€ one way). The management are really helpful and always on hand to give advice/recommendations. Even though you're in the middle of the old town (and Carnaval was running when were here), every night was very peaceful and quiet. If you book to spend your holidays here, you won't regret it. M10307/02/2025 Nice Hotel Lovely , well positioned hotel with a quirky honesty bar located upon the rooftop area. Breakfast lovely , staff approachable , rooftop area nice . WiFi was pretty weak in some areas of the hotel and there is a sharp step on the rooftop area which became a real hazard in the evening due to the dimly lit aspect there. That being said it does not detract from the overall experience which was good and well worth the price paid . Nicola B04/02/2025 A peaceful retreat The main thing preventing a five rating is the lack of anywhere to hang a towel to dry. As the weather is warm, we wanted to shower twice a day and our towels were permanently damp and unpleasant to use. Such a simple thing to fix. The rooms are large with plenty of space remaining for either a free-standing or wall-mounted rail where a towel could be dried; instead there are just hooks within the shower cubicle where the towels hang in folds and don’t get air. A little more choice at breakfast would also be good. The dishes on the menu are tasty and well made but increasing the savoury options from 4 quite prescriptively defined recipes by adding a couple of flexible options such as a choice of boiled, scrambled eggs, poached eggs with bread or toast would allow for variety. The hotel is a peaceful retreat: The rooms are simply and tastefully decorated, the AC is effective, and the roof top breakfast space, honesty bar and pool are delightful. A lift makes it easy to manage your cases and to get to the roof if you struggle with stairs. There’s a simple and cost-effective parking solution with a nearby public car park if you have a car: you pay the hotel a daily rate and they give you vouchers; the car park add those to their system so your number plate is recognised on entry and exit and you can come and go with ease. A special shout out for Giuse (I hope I spelled her name correctly) on reception who, amongst a friendly and helpful staff, stood out as exceptional. She helped us with restaurant recommendations, made reservations with those that needed a phone call, and juggled some of our bookings around when restaurants we wanted to visit had limited availability. All in all, a lovely stay. If they can sort out the towel situation, I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Kimmo E13/01/2025 Great value for money Spent a week in Las Palmas for remote work. Hotel Vientiuno was a perfect place. A very good location close to Vegueta and Triana which are the most nicest neighbourhoods, The rooms are simple but comfy. The rooftop terrace is great. A plus for good breakfast. Great value for money. CopenhagenShi19/11/2024 Perhaps our best hotel experience ever Many have rightly given the hotel top marks, so our expectations were quite high. And they were fulfilled in full. It's hard to add anything new compared to previous reviews, but the reuse of the old tiles is a scoop - but maybe it's the always nice and friendly and smiling staff, the hotel's biggest attraction.La evaluación general en Tripadvisor es 4.9 de 5, en base a 217 reseñas
